Creditspring Team | Dani

Based in Spain, Dani was our first team member to work remotely... long before the rest of the world caught on! Here he reveals what’s changed at Creditspring since 2017.

Hi Dani, what do you do at Creditspring?

My job title is Principal Engineer - I work as a bridge between product and engineering. Right now I'm helping to improve how we collect payments. The most rewarding part of my job is when we work together on a feature that ends up being loved by our customers, and works flawlessly.

What did you do before joining Creditspring?

I've been a programming enthusiast since I was 12. I also liked technology, so I studied telecommunications engineering at university, but soon realised that I'm best at coding, and so left electronics to be a hobby. I've been working in many sectors since 2005, such as communications, public administration, car dealership, accommodation and insurance, and now I’m in finance.

What’s changed since you started working at Creditspring?

I started as Senior Engineer, when there were just two of us in my team - I was the sixth employee of the company! I’ve always worked remotely from Spain, but have made frequent visits to the office in London a few times a year. Lots of things have changed since I joined, as the company is transitioning from a small startup to a medium-sized serious business. A growing company is the best place to be!

What excites you about Creditspring?
